Camber Adderall Complaints (Page 3)

Camber's new generic for Adderall IR 15mg is no good. Prior to it I got 10mg Adderall from CVS and it worked great! Just got a fill from Kroger since CVS was out of stock. The brand is from Camber and not only does it not work, it makes me feel unwell, sleepy and super irritated. It’s crazy how companies are able to differentiate in their generics like they do. This Camber brand just makes me want to go to sleep but I feel so unwell it’s hard to. I can’t focus at all on anything but how sick I feel. Don’t take this new stuff people and if you have what did you think?

I have had to request that the pharmacy (I use Kroger) ONLY fills my Rx for Adderall with the name brand. I don't have health insurance so I am paying for it out of my own pocket and let me tell you that after all the nightmarish side effects I experienced with the Camber generic brand, paying the couple hundred dollars more for Adderall brand is worth it. I had to start using the extended release because it's cheaper but with my blink savings card (Blink is comparable to Good Rx) 30 of the 30mg XR Adderall brand costs me around $230.

At least I know if I'm getting the name brand every month my medication won't change. It's hard enough having ADHD without these pharmacies switching generics on us but they are NOT all the same formula!

Always check your prescription when you pick it up! Check the manufacturer and refuse it if it's Camber. Lanette doesn't work either but it doesn't have the nasty side effects that Camber does. The Kroger pharmacy I use is really inept at paying attention to what my doctor specifies on my Rx. They have tried numerous times to substitute a generic when my doctor clearly states to DISPENCE AS WRITTEN. So if anything, check to make sure your pharmacy is following directions.

I am so sorry all of you are going through this. I spent a whole entire summer in a deep depression because most of these pharmaceutical companies are manufacturing something that they have absolutely NO BUSINESS making!

Hang in there people. Hopefully these pharmacies will get the hint if more of us refuse to accept their fake ADHD medication.

But wait a sec, until tonight I had no idea that there were different manufacturers of generic Adderall. After looking for a picture of the pill I’ve taken for 20+ years, I found Elite was the manufacturer. My Adderall tablets are round this month. I didn’t care, it’s all the same right? However the day I started on the new round pills, headache, nausea, uneasy, yawning constantly, stomach pain, dizzy, no stamina, motivation or give a f’s at all. Crabby if anyone even whispers my name because the headache is so intense. Looking for an explanation, I even took a covid test. It was negative. Being so irritable, I went online and googled what’s wrong at Walgreens that they have no Adderall (they partially filled my Rx and told me to find another pharmacy outside of the Walgreens chain to get the rest of it). Trying to find an answer lead me to all these threads about generics. First I’d heard of it. Camber kept popping up as a stay away from manufacturer. I wondered what I was taking and looked at the bottle. Camber. I googled it and found description after description of what I was experiencing. My problems with taking Camber’s generic came long before I even knew there was a company called Camber. Yes it’s all in my head, but not because someone put it there. You worry bout yourself.

I'm so glad people are speaking up about how bad the Camber generic adderall effects can be.

I've been taking the Teva generic for 8 months and haven't had any problems (unless I took it on an empty stomach). I'm on a low dose - 15mg/day IR.

Due to the backorder, I had to go two weeks without any medication in late July/early August. When it came in two weeks ago, the pills were white instead of blue and the manufacturer was Camber. At first, it seemed ok, but gradually I feel worse and worse. So much so that I'm taking 5mg/day which does almost nothing for focus.

Nothing has changed in my life stress-wise, but all of the sudden I have insomnia in the middle of the night. I feel kind of blue and have never had trouble with depression. I also feel irritable for no reason. There's something not right about this generic. I really hope the FDA looks into it (I've reported my experience to them). I really feel for everyone who relies on this medication to function. Avoid the Camber generic if you can.

Re: Mark Stringfellow (# 90) Expand Referenced Message

I was placed on the Adderall generic, made by drug supplier CAMBER Pharma, since my Walgreens in Jupiter, Florida filled my prescription for the 20mg IR tablets due to "CORPORATE" and that Camber sells them to Walgreens, CVS and many others at the lowest price possible.

I didn't recognize that the orange tablet was any different than the previous generic so I took my first dose. Shortly after I took my morning dose I became tired and had brain fog but didn't associate it, not for a long time with any change in medication. I developed agitation, difficulty with my ability to focus and complete daily tasks. I became very depressed over a couple of months and told the pharmacy that I thought the generic Adderall from CAMBER was making my head hurt, causing me to be profoundly depressed and agitated.

The pharmacist reassured me that the generics are actual equivalents by federal mandates. I told my pain doctors, my primary care and others. Soon I was so depressed I felt like I needed mental health assistance because I began to have Suicidal Ideation (just keeping it real folks). I saw and continue to see a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who began treatment with SPRAVATO, an intranasal antidepressant that can work rapidly. Some respond to Spravato, Esketamine (similar to Ketamine) after a few hours to days. Most antidepressants work differently and often take weeks to see any real effect and often the odd continues to change dosing or change to a different antidepressant.

I was in a high brain fog and didn't feel any relief until this novel treatment. After two months more of complaining and filing a Medication Alert with the FDA, I struggled with energy and fatigue. I was getting better in and ways but something was interfering and I determined it was the generic Adderall from CAMBER pharma of India, that was causing these terrible side effects. Once I was able to get an actual officially appointment the doctor was not at all surprised and believed me in my very first visit. He told me that although the generic medications are made to be equal with the dosage of the active drug, a 20 percent difference is allowed for fillers and other ingredients that may affect where the medication is absorbed in the body, etc. He stated he would write a prescription to direct my Pharmacist at the new Pharmacy Abacoa in Jupiter, not Walgreens after 20 years, to "Dispense As Written" Adderall 20mg IR and added to never dispense medications from CAMBER.

I couldn't bring my old medication into the new Pharmacy to obtain what I needed as there are so many issues involved due to strict enforcement of Controlled Substances in the USA and the impact it would have on my Patient Health Profile, a system all of you are on that keeps track of all your medications and sets RED FLAGS that permanently stain your record. I've never failed a drug screen and never abused medications. Long story short PLEASE CONTACT THE MEDICATION ALERT, available with a Google search to report an issue with a medication and FDA, and complete as much of the form as you can. The only way they will actually respond is after many complaints or when the number of suicides increases the overall mortality rate. Your doctor or prescriber can send change your prescription to the Brand Name or write you don't want CAMBER for a generic.

Totally agree with you. Camber Adderall is terrible. They made me so sick. It should be illegal to make something like that.

I agree completely. I recently have been taking the generic adderall put out by Camber the 20mg&10mg tablets. Currently the medication has been giving me major headaches with a almost a sedated feel. Also they have made my mood go up and down from sad to happy then aggressive to mean. It makes me feel very lost on what to do through the day, making me wonder what is this medication for and what is it really; people who suffer from ADHD and other Diagnosis requiring adderall please be cautious and understand that the generic adderall produced by Camber Pharm is not what it says it is, not even close.

My hands and feet were beginning to swell, especially my feet and ankles. I got off the Cambers onto Teva and that all went away. The Cambers are no good and people should reject them if that’s what they are given. They are NOT Adderall. I’ve been taking them for months now and they are straight up no good.

Re: Optimistic (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

Source please where the FDA allows generics to differ by up to a 20% +/-
Makes NO sense, there are medications that such a difference could be toxic for the patient. To save you some time you won’t be able to find a source since it’s not accurate information.

ALL generics HAVE to have an identical amount of the key active ingredients; in this case it’s Amphetamine salts — the only things generic can differ is with INACTIVE known as the fillers, that’s why different pills might be same drug different flavor or colors.

Now using fillers can have a legitimate effect on the way the medication absorbed and metabolized, depending on the inactive ingredients which can vary generic to generic, for example a medication like tumbs would be something that would accelerate the Absorption of the amphetimes into the blood stream, such an effect can increase the perceived strength; but it will peak faster and consequently be not as effective — since the intended therapeutical purpose is being usurp

so the exact opposite is true as well,
I would say from having been on virtually every type of Adderall generic, some might work not as well, I thought this works decently but perhaps not as smooth as the Teva, as a result, I decided to take HALF of my dose, which allowed my body to adjust to the inactive ingredients.

My suggestion would be to take half 4-6 hours apart for the first few days

For those that really don’t like the inactive ingredients, tell your pharmacist or doctor to request a specific manufacturer and to dispense as written; this won’t allow any substitutes the RX.

Good luck to you all! And do not take 20% more since this isn’t true.

P.S. review the other meds you take, some might not mix well with the new generic.

But respectfully I don’t think you should not feel no effects unless this isn’t being used for therapeutic reasons. And if you truly don’t get something out of a 30 mg IR perhaps it’s time to look for a substitute medication:

Are you taking Camber brand? My Rx was just filled with Camber and I was nervous to try it based on the reviews, but if you’re on it and had the focus and energy to type that wall of text, maybe I’ll be fine.

So I guess my adderall has been Camber since February. I didn’t realize that it was my medication making me sick all these months. I have taken about 20 Covid tests and they were all negative. Constant nausea, headaches, sore throat, and low grade temperature. Plus I’ve been a scattered mess! I can’t focus on anything and feel nauseous and lethargic all day. Not to mention depressed (because my ADHD and auditory processing disorder symptoms/issues always made me depressed and for the first time in years, I have been experiencing them full blown the last few months). What the heck is in (or not in) this medication?! It doesn’t work and I’ve never had such strong side effects to a medication. I was feeling ok when I woke up this morning, took my usual dose, and in ten minutes I had extreme nausea that lasted all day. It’s definitely the medication. Oh! And I also get this horrid metallic taste in my mouth…does anyone else get that with Camber?

I went to Walgreens today and the pharmacist said that they are only carrying Camber, my insurance doesn’t cover the name brand, he had not heard of any complaints about it, and talked to me as if I was some junkie looking for a fix. They just roll their eyes when you mention Adderall.
I did some searching and it seems like ALL of the pharmacies in SFLA switched to Camber. This is horrible! I feel like I’m being poisoned by this medication and I don’t want to take it (but I have to). I almost wonder if I should get my doctor to switch me back to Ritalin…it didn’t work as well, but it worked better than this! I’m going to fill out an FDA complaint now. I feel like there is something in this medication that will end up being a class action lawsuit.

You aren’t losing it… these pills from Camber have nearly cost me everything I’ve built over the last 15 years. They are anti Adderall, they do the exact opposite of what they should be doing. I really can’t believe they can get away with serving this s*** up to people. I guess maybe it’s easy to point the finger at us and call us crazy because we’re on medication… it’s BS.

So I posted here a couple weeks ago regarding my life slowly falling apart since Kroger started feeding me these 30mg Adderall manufactured by Camber. I’ve been taking them for about 6 months now and at some point a crippling depression began to set in. I’m 50 and have been on adderall for about 20 years. It became impossible for me to work or get anything done over time, I had complete brain fog. We all know there are variations in the different brands of adderall but they are generally not too extreme. These Camber pills are a different story, I was blaming myself for my s***ty mental state and after having a conversation with a close friend who’s also ADD he told me he thought it was the Cambers. He had taken them before and was smart enough to notice they were s*** right away and immediately found a pharmacy that carried a different manufacturer. These Camber pills are not Adderall, they are poison. I don’t understand how they can play with people's heads like this, I know there’s got to be a lot of people suffering from taking these things. They did my head in for a while now and it’s absolute BS.

Been using the Camber 20mg for 2 months now and I swear I feel like I’m about to “start” daily with the cramps. It has also constipated me so that could be the reason for the cramps. Obviously I’m feeling off and figured I would see if it could be contributed to this. I’ve been extra crabby yet sensitive (totally not me at all) and it ALL makes sense now

Ok, ok! I thought I was "losing" it! Since I have been taking Mfg Camber, adderall, I feel unlike myself! Major reaction effecting my skin, red bumps, rash, I've been put on an antibiotic for these bumps! My eyesight, I feel tired, irritated, headache. I can not think clearly. This is effecting my job. Something I do everyday, now I'm having difficulties, to the point of my coworker intervenes, assists me completing a task, in my state of confusionThis is so embarrassing! I truly never thought about the adderall mfg. By Camber was the culprit! It all makes sense. I get anxious. I feel I no longer can do my job causing anxiety. I have missed time from work from this!

Oh how i feel for you all....the entourage effect is very powerful...i had camber 90 pills 30mg last month....i blind took them with a witness...double blind on myself...found both were the same effectiveness...but after reading all yall...i realize i felt the negatives...lets not focus on the "internal stuff" it's just 2 hrs to kick in.... I recognize adderall sucks period now in 2022 but i empathetically understand your plight and wish 2010 adderall was the business...so yea i think the world just isn't about the true Dextroamphetamine anymore....free advice, wilshire makes MIA30 for generic now....check it out here

Same here!!! I took a antigen test and a PCR after it showing negative because i thought i got covid and antigen was inaccurate. This literally gives me covid-like symptoms. Camber is not working at all and i felt so bad like i’m on ambien or something. I’ve been on adderall for years and this is the worst.

Re: Kim D (# 12) Expand Referenced Message

I am not a fan of Walgreens but use them because of their locations are everywhere and if I have a rx while I’m on the road I can have it filled. Plus they always filled with Teva for my adderall rx. But last month they were out and I had to have the dr office send it to another Walgreens that did have some in stock. I only was able to do that after calling each Walgreens that were within 30 mins away. I just opened my bottle I picked up earlier today and it’s not teva but this cambert stuff and now I’m really worried. I think I’ve had this manufacturers adderall once and it was headache and felt lethargic and grumpy. And worried this is going to be Walgreens new source of genetic adderall.
