Is it safe for a pregnant woman to take calcium + cholecalciferol (Calvit gold) and what are the side effects of it?

Yes, these nutrients are often prescribed for pregnant women and you should take it, if your doctor has instructed you to do so. The NIH warns that it may cause nausea, and constipation as side effects.
