In my opinion, it depends on whether or not this is an extended release capsule (for prolonged absorption)?

If it is not, then by all means, I think this would be an effective way to get your calcium, provided that you can't swallow the pills themselves.

You can also consider emptying the contents into a glass of water or raw fruit juice to take it that way.
