Class Action Lawsuit Suggestion
UpdatedI told my story on a different thread. I have been disabled from 4 FAILED back surgeries since 2002. I tried physical therapy and no help. Injections - no help. I was on 160mg of oxycontine/day - that worked! Had to switch docs - he cut me off, put me on methadone 10mg qty 120 and roxi 15mg qty 90. Had to give up the roxi 15mg for perc 10/325 qty 90 due to DEA issue(s)... NOW I cannot get my script for perc 10/325 filled ANYWHERE in my county!!!! I know there are many suffering out there with me - We have the right to our medication - it is cruel and unusual to cut everyone in Florida off because of some sloppy pharmacies or whatever - I have provable issues and I have been a pain patient for 10+ years!!! This year is the 1st time ever I could not get my meds at all!!! Anyone in the Citrus county area - looking for a decent pain doc that can switch my meds around or something - meantime we all suffer for not!!! Let's get together and do this!!!

Update.... No oxycodone in 2 counties so Doc replaced the 10/325 percs w/ 15mg morphine IR and it seems to work well. Any way to get the maximum relief outta these things? (Like oxycodone is potentiated by APAP). Thanks! I am still in on a lawsuit for undertreatment of pain/ pain medication witheld from patients and pharmacists are now able to refuse a doctor's order (script) JUST BECAUSE!!! This isn't very practical - why bother paying $185 to visit the Dr only to have a pharmacist (not an MD) tell you "no, it's been on back order for weeks" even if he has 20 bottles in the back!! Think folks! Thanks for listening!
I am very sorry about what you are going through, I really hate to see anyone suffer.
However, it isn't just Florida, shortages almost always occur this time of year, due to mandatory manufacturing limits.
In Florida, the problem has been compounded, because pharmacies there were found to have been ordering and stocking way more than they are allowed and they were also filling prescriptions for more than the maximum amounts allowable.
The FDA and DEA have now begun cracking down and enforcing the laws. The unfortunate side effect is that people like you can't get the medications they need and have ended up suffering.

How often do you take the Morphine?
I swear! It's easier to get these things on the STREET than through proper channels! I'm so sorry to hear this & your suffering. I, too, am a post-op back surgery patient & it looks like more may be needed, unfortunately. For what it is worth, in a pinch, pot will help the pain. It has become legal where I am & I have used at times if the pain meds don't work (since u only get so many, u need to take judiciously) or I get close to the end of the Rx. Best wishes & I'll add u to my prayers.
