Hi, Patti! Sorry about the problem you're having.

Nuzak contains the active ingredient Fluoxetine, it's an SSRI antidepressant and yes, weight gain can be a side effect of most medications in this class.

You may also experience nausea, dry mouth and drowsiness.

You should talk to your doctor about it, there are some others that you could try that don't have as high of a risk of causing it as this one.
