Can I Use Amox K Clav 875 125 Tab For A Soar Throat?

I have a throat infection. I have a slight fever, feel achy and my throat is killing me. Can I use this medication?

This is a generic for Augmentin, which is an antibiotic that's used to treat various types of infections.

However, you could run into a problem if you don't actually have an infection, or if you don't have enough to take a full course of them to treat an infection, because either situation creates the risk of your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria.

Have you consulted your doctor? The symptoms you're describing can also be caused by a cold, or severe allergies.

This medication may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
