It would be best not to imbibe, while taking a prescription medication, unless your doctor approves. The NIH warns that this medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and easy bruising.

If your doctor approves your having a few alcoholic drinks, please make sure that you will not be driving, or operating dangerous machinery, after doing so, because it could worsen the side effects.

Are any of you on any other medications?
