C An I Take Amoxicillin That Is A Year Old

Can not afford to miss work and my right side of my throat and ear hurt! I have amoxicillin prescription from 06/2014 can I take this? Or do I need to see my doctor?

Medications do lose effectiveness over time, so it would be best to see your doctor for a new prescription.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
