C-diff And Alinia
UpdatedI have had c-diff for 10 months now. I started on Flagyl, did a combo of Flagyl and Vanco, and spike treatments of Vanco at 125mg and 250mg. I recently heard that a Gastro doctor prescribes a drug called "Alinia" for his pediatric patients. I only heard the name, is this the right drug? If it is would I be a candidate for it? Do you combine it with Vanco? I heard it kills the spore, but I thought that wasn't possible.

Alinia contains the active ingredient Nitazoxanide and it's only listed as being effect against Cryptosporidium and Giardia, so it's not used to treat Clostridium Difficile.
