Bystolic And Exercise

I take bystolic 2.5 Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Heart rate in 50s but always has been. Keeps hbp stable. My question is , is it safe to exercise as I can't seem to get heart rate high on. Beta blocker and unsure how much is enough

In this case, the only thing I can really do is advise you to check with your doctor. Without knowing any other details of your medical history, it would be remiss of anyone else to try to advise you on this.

In most cases, it is good and safe for someone with high blood pressure to exercise, but there are some rare cases where it isn't and I am not sure which this would fall in considered your heart rate.

Have you tried any other class of medications?

Losartan. My doctor said to exercise until I got winded and not try to get my heart rate up too high. My bp is regular most times dr calls it labile bp. Twice I went to dr with rapid heart rate so that is why I'm thinking he started bystolic, he said I was high strung :) I am a fast talker ha. I may ask him to try something different next checkup in feb, just hoping bystolic is safe. I am in medical field and dr says I know just enough to scare me:) I think he is right
