Bystolic Reviews
UpdatedI was put on Bystolic six days ago. My doctor removed me from Inderal (Propanalol) after being on that drug for 27 years. The reason she gave me is I have had bronchitis and she said Inderal accentuates the problems with asthma or bronchitis. Now, I have had bronchitis in years past and my former doctor never took me off of the drug. I now see that Bystolic is also contradictory to anyone with bronchitis and asthma problems. I have had bronchitis once this year so I don't understand the need to change. The side effects of the Bystolic have been awful, cold hands, shaky, exhausted. I wonder if this could be the withdrawal from the Inderal or the side effects? I called her associate doctor yesterday to tell him I was very uncomfortable with this and he said it couldn't be withdrawl or side effects. He stated this is the Rolls Royce of BP drugs. Tomorrow I am telling her that I am not going to take this one more day and would like to return to my Inderal, despite her statements about the bronchial problems which I am sure are a problem but I do not want to feel this way again. Any comments would be helpful. Thank you.

Regardless of him calling it the Rolls Royce of BP drugs, it can still definitely cause side effects.
Raynaud's Phenomenon, which would explain your cold hands is a known side effect as reported by the FDA. Other side effects may include fatigue, bronchospasm, and bronchitis, just like Inderal.

If you weren't experiencing any problems taking Inderal, then switching was not necessary, as long as you were keeping your appointments, and being monitored regularly, especially since the side effect profile, including bronchitis, and respiratory issues are common to both.
Are they are GP, or a specialist?
