Buspirone And Heart Palpitations

If you have heart palpitations and your doctor give you Buspirone to help with your panic attacks, will it help with your heart palpitations? Or will it cause more heart palpitations?

According to FDA reports, it has actually been known to cause palpitations as a side effect. Thus, in your case, I think it really depends on what's causing your palpitations, if you experience them due to panic attacks, the medication might help, if it works for you to get them under control. But there is also a chance that it may not stop them from occurring.

However, most side effects are transient and tend to go away, once your body gets used to a medication, which could take 4 to 6 weeks.

Are you on any other medications? Is there some other reason for your palpitations, or just the panic attacks?
