Burning Face Sensation From Cipro?

I began a two week regimen of Cipro a month ago. Just as I was ending the regimen (I felt no side effects during the two weeks), I began to feel some itching and a sensation of a sunburned face. It's been two weeks and there is not a lot of improvement. Has anybody else had the same experience with Cipro? Please no exaggerators or fatalists, just honest responses and how they fared over time.

I guess I just need to be patient. I always thought allergies resolved pretty much immediately....not weeks. I'm throwing steroids, Benadryl and Zyrtec at it everyday. I'm not used to taking any medicine so this has been a strange few weeks. Thanks for your help.

You may be having an allergic reaction to it, it sometimes takes awhile for one to manifest. I turned out to be allergic to one a few years ago and the symptoms didn't manifest, until I was 9 and a half days in to a 10 day course. It would be best to have it checked out to be sure.

It took about a month for all of my symptoms to fully go away.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Is there anything else I can help with?
