I have been on Bupropion 150mg XL for years and am now switching to 75mg SR but cutting the 150mg SR pill (MU12) in half per my doctor's directions. Is it safe to cut the pill and take it on a daily basis? The official Mylan site says not to, but that was my doctor's directions. Would like to get other opinions before I start. ## Hello, Gary! Just starting this pill. Would like to know what all it helps me with? I have been very disorganized and very forgetful. I think it is generic for wellbrutrin XL 300mg, but I'm not sure. ## It actually depends on the oval shape. if its got more tapered ends, kind of like an egg, then yes, it contains 300mgs of controlled release Bupropion, the active ingredient in Wellbutrin XR. Today I picked up my refill. I have been taking 1 twice a day since 1999. In all those years through different drug company changes, the pill has always been a round med-large white pill. I called Walmart to make sure I got then correct pill (four times over the years me and my mom got the wrong pill, with the right label). The representative argued with me rudely stating the pill has to be right, because they never make mistakes. I told her yes they have. She rudely said, you can go on the internet and check the code. Pill is round and light green with a capital M on one side with u12 below the m, the other side is blank and the pill is not scored. ## I have been taking these pills for almost 4 weeks now at 150mg (bupropion SR made by MYLAN), twice daily (300mg total) & they said it would help with the sexual side effects of my daily dose of Lexapro (20mg). Can you safely dissolve Bupropion SR 150 MG? The tablet is hard to swallow. ## Hello, Ann! How are you? No, you cannot. The SR designates it as a time released mediation, so dissolving it may result in your getting to much of the medication, at once, which could cause an overdose. The best thing to do would be to speak to your medical provider about prescribing the regular release tablets, so you can cut or break them, if needed. My dr. gave me generic wellbutrin for stopping smoking. This is made by sandoz. Everything I have read about the generic pills has scared the crap out of me. Im scared to start these. Hey there, I started taking the dose at night (10 pm)to prevent night sweats and insomnia, which has been working. But I find about 12 hours after taking the dose 10/11 am I become extremely dizzy and nauseated , sensitive to light , headache..... and lasts time about 8 or 9 at night. Then I'm fine the next morning and bang right at 10 or 11 the symtoms happen again. Is this dose to high for me ? Do these symtoms wear off after time? I'm getting desperate for an answer. 100 MG twice a day had been sufficient to gently give me the uplift I need and gave me some energy. I thought it was just a temporary glitch in my brain, but the new purple pill from a different manufacturer is simply doing nothing. I tried taking 1 and 1/2 tablets but no change. I am not doing well, dragging myself through the day, anxious for the next time I can lie down for a bit. It is a struggle.
