Bupropion Xl

Round Pill (small) imprinted with WPI3332. Supposedly Bupropion XL 300mg but it seems much smaller than it should be.

I just received a prescription of Bupropion XL, and it looks totally different that what I've received for the same medication and strength in the past (I use Aetna RX by mail). In the past it has been a capsule, and now it is a tablet with the same lettering you describe WPI 3332. Very unusual for there to be such a dramatic change and nothing by way of explanation. I called pharmacy and was told that the pharmacy had started using a different manufacturer for the generic and that more than one manufacturer often manufactures a generic drug once the patent runs out. WATSON LAB is the manufacturer of Bupropion WP! 3332. I think it's always good to question this sort of thing, considering that one reads of the not uncommon occurrences of pharmacies dispensing the wrong drug.

This is a Bupropion 300mgs tablet, generic for Wellbutrin XL. It is even manufactured by Watson, they have just switched from a capsule to a tablet.

I also just received a 1st time prescription of supposedly Bupropion XL 300mg tablet marked A 102 on the pill only. I am questioning if it is because it looks totally different than the generic oval & light yellow colored Bupropion XL 300mg I use to get from Walgreen's and once got a months supply from Aetna Home Rx about a year and a half ago. (I also just began using Aetna RX because my prescription plan now allows me to fill it for a 90 day supply at the cost of what 2 months worth would be). I did not get a Watson Lab pill marked WPI 3332 as a previous person who posted on this very same subject. Very unusual for there to be such a dramatic change and nothing by way of explanation. I am concerned because suddenly I have developed a breathing/asthmatic like problem which seems to coincide with the start of taking this pill. I have been taking it for 2 months and the symptoms come and go. I called the pharmacy today but did not have time to hold, so I plan to call them again but thought I would post and see if you could offer any additional information about A 102. I am wondering if the pharmacies dispensed the wrong drug but marked the prescription bottle correctly. I never had breathing problems prior to taking the other generic light yellow colored oval pill which I had been taking for well over 2 years.

I have been thru the same thing with my pharmacists. I don't like these little white round ones with A 102 on them. I've had horrible side effects that are just now starting to get better other than involuntary muscle twitching. When I opened the bottle I was immediately skeptical. I've been everywhere online, hopefully to mostly legitimate sites, and the three manufacturers of bupropion hcl xl 300 are Anchen, Teva, and Watson. I don't know what's going on, but I'd really like to have the oval yellowish ones back. I can't even find pictures of them... What is going on???

My prescription was changed to the white pills also. I have experienced eye twitching, slight nausea, and a feeling of uneasiness at times. I spoke to the pharmacist and he said the ones I took previously were Buproprion SR and these are Bupropion HCL XL. I am definitely getting the prescription changed !!!
