The only difference here is the dosage and the fact that the new one he prescribed for you is a sustained release tablet, which means you take one tablet a day and it is slowly released, rather than releasing all of the medication at once.
The side effects, however, remain the same: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and headache.
If you weren't gaining weight on it, then there isn't much chance that the new dosage is going to have that effect on you, either.
