Bruising While On Xarelto

I'm on Xarelto, 20 mg daily for dvt. Noticed small bruises on back of leg with bruising around ankle. Trying to increase walking daily. Should I continue to walk with the bruises, or should I rest the leg?

Bruising can be a normal side effect of this medication, as listed by the U.S. FDA. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased risk of bleeding.

Unless they worsen, or become severe, they are usually nothing to worry about, but it is always best to check with your prescriber, to be sure.

I'm on zarelto needed a ct scan on.my lungs they could not get.blood from me.they spent 3hrs trying to get blood and trying to.put iv in my hand but could not get hold of the veins so they.gave up but as soon as I stood up to leave the blood gushed out now I have dark bruising on.my.arm.and hand and it's spreading how long will it take to go away it's been a week and.not getting better
