Brown Spotting After Taking Meprate

Is brown spotting normal on 3rd day of taking Meprate? Is this normal periods or i would be having normal periods later?

I also took Meprate 1 each for 5 days and then I had my period for about a week. It's been 2 weeks since it stopped and I am bleeding again. More of brownish spotting. Is it normal?

According to CIMS, Meprate is a brand of Medroxyprogesterone Acetate.

"In females, the most common adverse effects are acne, changes in menstrual flow, drowsiness, and can cause birth defects if taken by pregnant women. Other common side effects include breast tenderness, increased facial hair, decreased scalp hair, difficulty falling or remaining asleep, stomach pain, and weight loss or gain."

So what you are reporting may be a normal part of this medication but you should ultimately let your doctor know of any side effects which you are experiencing. Hope this helps!

Hi. I got my last period on January 22nd....but still didn't have my next period...I also checked a pregnancy test and it was negative. My doctor says I should use Meprate 10mg tablets for 5 days and after 4-5 days my period should come...However, it's my 4th day running and I did not have my period.
