Brintillex Side Effects And Withdrawal

I've taken brintillex 20 mg for around 9 months. It has worked very well for depression. I had nausea going on it. I also had a period of extreme itching at night so had to taper down temporarily and then back up. The only problem is that I've gained 20 pounds on this drug (and I'm a small person). I'm going to taper down slowly to see if I can come off of it without rebound depression. Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Weight changes aren't listed as a normal side effect of this medication. The FDA lists it as usually causing dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood swings, in addition to the nausea you experienced.

Have you consulted your doctor? Are you on any other medications?
