need my aspergum Says:

My mom gave me aspergum when I was little to soothe my sore throat. I wasn't able to share the relief with my children. So, start making it again for my Grandchildren. But in the mean time, I'm suffering with a sore thoat that would be controlled if aspergum were still available.

I'm sorry, but this website does not manufacture, prescribe, nor sell any medications or products. It only provides people with information on them, so it is no way affiliated with Aspergum or those that used to make it.

And the reason it was removed from the market was because of accidental poisonings of children, since it was a gum, many kids got a hold of it and would just chew tons of it, not knowing it was actually a medication. Thus, it is a product that the U.S. FDA will not ever allow back on the market.

Additionally, its active ingredient was Aspirin, which has also been found to be dangerous if given to children under 12, because they may develop Reye's Syndrome.

If you have a sore throat and need relief, there are over the counter products, such as Sucrets and Chloraseptic that can help and you should also consult your doctor, in case it's due to an infection.

Is there anything else I can help with?
