Regardless of the method used, it isn't safe to break down any medication and try to use it in a manner for which it isn't intended.
Some people try to break them down for injection, but this is very dangerous, because tablets contain fillers and not all of them are meant to be broken down by the human body, but are normally just expelled as waste.
If you inject them, your body is unable to process out these substances and it can lead to blockages, which creates the risk of stroke or embolism.
Has your friend just tried taking them as they are prescribed?
