Brand Fiorinal With Codeine

Iam confused Watson makes a generic Fiornial with codeine? 425 and makes 3546 please help me I have a product ASCOMP with codeine and it just does not knock out the pain!

Based on my research, Watson pharmaceuticals does make a blue and yellow capsule, identified as Fiorinal with codeine (Aspirin 325 mg + Butalbital 50 mg + Caffeine 40 mg + Codeine Phosphate 30 mg).

The imprint on the capsule is: "FIORINAL CODEINE
WATSON 956"

National Drug Code (NDC): 52544-0956

I'm a bit confused by the wording of your question though. So please do post back if this doesn't fully address your concerns.

I too have been taking Fiorinal with codeine #3 (by Watson, then by Sandoz) for 30+ years. It seems as if they did change the formula as it doesn't work as well. I thought it was my imagination. I need to take 4 pills instead of one. Please let me know if their are other medications that work like this one use to.
I was told that Ascomp was the same as Fiorinal and it was just a generic; therefore, cheaper.

Not as good I agree, the gen. don't work near as well. But they won't give the name brand meds. I have just accepted it, what else can one do? I can think better and clearer on the name brand. Don't hurt stomache as much, and takes pain and headaches away a lot !!! better
