Brain Injury And Snoring
UpdatedI was told that me finding my brother snoring after a bad wreck and head injury was a bad sign. Why is this? He was in a coma for weeks but he is gradually coming around. He can't talk or move his right side.

Hello, Michele! How are you?
He may have developed sleep apnea, which one possible issue listed by the NIH, it means that the person stops breathing periodically, while sleeping. Heavy snoring can be a sign of it.
The snoring can also just be a sign of brain damage, in some cases.
Has he always been a snorer? What types of medications do they have him on? Did you inform his doctor that he was snoring?
