My friend has same pill I can’t find anywhere online. Hers has a 15 in the flower though. Perfect capital V on front with no font or slant to the V. She passed away so I can’t ask her what they were.

Just curious, is the capital "V" in a cursive-like font like the one from Vintage Pharmaceuticals?
As of yet I haven't found any pills on the internet fitting your description and that does make me feel a little apprehensive about it since the flower shape also seems a bit unusual.
If they are a legitimate valium prescription, your buddy should still have the prescription bottle in his possession. But if that's not the case, I would encourage you to take 1 over to a local pharmacy and see if they recognize it as being something else.
