Blue Oval Pill From Mexico With Pisa On One Side

My friend asked me to find out about a pill that is from Mexico. It has the letters PISA on one side and it is a blue oval pill. What's it for? She was told it was for pain.

Is there any way to verify your claim for this being a Mexican version of Xanax?

Does Mexico have National Drug Codes (NDC) similar to American FDA-approved pharmaceuticals?

Do you happen to know who the manufacturer is for reference?


To other readers who may be trying to identify this pill, it seems like it would be best to have its contents analyzed by a lab or drug panel
for further verification. A drug panel can at least check for the presence of a benzodiazepine like Xanax. However, information on this pill was non-existent in my own research and that may be because it's foreign.

Wrong - the page you are referring to is for a completely different drug than what is being described here. Although it is manufactured by Pisa labs in Mexico, your page is a listing for "BUCOMYCIN" which is an antibiotic, and is described as a capsule not a blue tablet.

Small oval light blue pill. One side has the letters “PiSA”. The other side has a line across the middle to make it easier to cut or break in half if needed. This is Mexico’s version of XANAX
