What many people refer to as an x is actually meant to be a z that is stylized to look like the pharmaceutical symbol of a mortar and pestle, is that what is on yours?
It is manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 100mgs of Doxycycline.
The FDA classifies this medication as an antibiotic and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
