are the yellow tabs stronger than the blue tabs??

I have taken Vicodin HP's they are oval and white -- I recently got some oval blue pills that say watson 540 on one side and a line on the other....I was told they are the same yet I do not get the same reaction --- can someone pls explain who is Viodan and who is Watson??? are either one of these pills manufacturered by the original co. that came out with vicodin in the 1980's? helpm please

The oval, blue tablet marked Watson 540 contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen.

The yellow, oval marked Watson 853 contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen.

Thus, since the Acetaminophen tends to improve how well the narcotic Hydrocodone works, the blue tablet would be stronger.

This medication may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth.

Vicodin is simply a name brand for a combination of Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, it is manufactured by Abbott Laboratories and they are the original manufacturer.

Watson is another pharmaceutical company and the version they manufacture is a generic for Vicodin.

There can be Fluctuations between the name brands and generics, so that might be the cause of your problem.
