Hi miss B,

Unfortunately I'm having trouble verifying the identification of this pill. The closest match I've found is a white round pill with the imprint L421. It is called Medique medi seltzer and contains aspirin (325 mg) + citric acid (1000 mg) + sodium bicarbonate (1916 mg).

It's basically Alka Seltzer; which is an effervescent antacid and pain reliever tablet first marketed by the Dr. Miles Medicine Company. It was developed by Maurice Treener, head chemist at Miles, in Elkhart Indiana. Alka-Seltzer is marketed for relief of minor aches, pains, inflammation, fever, headache, heartburn, sour stomach, indigestion, and hangovers, while neutralizing excess stomach acid.
