Bleeding On Oralcon Contraceptive Pills (Top voted first)

Hi, my chemist sister did not have nordette in stock and said that oralcon is exactly the same as nordette and supplied me with 3 months supply. However, I have been semi bleeding as in brown and black blood from day 4 of taking these tablets- every single day. Some days a sudden blob of red blood came. I took my last white tablet today and have been wearing a sanitary pad whole way thru. Suppose to start with my normal period tomorrow. Is this normal? my system is very confused at the moment.

That can be a side effect of taking oral contraceptives, according to the U.S. FDA, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms.

If it doesn't change, in a few months, you should consult your doctor.

Hi, I've been on Oralcon for about 9 months and a couple of days ago I stated spotting. And it's been 5 days and I'm still spotting. I've taken a pregnancy test because I became paranoid but it was negative. I've experienced headaches and nausea in the past month. I'm currently on a strict diet and I'm not sure if it's the cause of my spotting. The sister at the clinic said it could be a cause of iron deficiency. Is it normal?
