Bleeding After Using Vandazole

I used the gel for the 5 nights I was suppose to with NO intercourse, and then the 6th night, when I was able, and did have intercourse, I started bleeding, and I haven't stopped for 2 days now. I already had my period the beginning of the month, and this isn't like my normal period. My pap was normal, and I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

Hi Lucy - It sounds like you could be experiencing one of the possible side effects of this medication. It is highly recommended that you report this to your prescribing physician ASAP. "Tell your doctor immediately if any of these rare but very serious side effects occur: eye pain, sudden vision changes, sore throat, persistent fever, unusual bleeding/bruising, severe stomach pain, persistent nausea/vomiting."
