I was prescribed sprinted on October 7 of this year , I took the first pill on the 8. However I stopped taking them 4 days ago because of the side effects. I started some spotting today. Now feeling like I'm ready to menstruate, but nothing is coming out. Can this happen?

Yes, that can happen. Oral contraceptives use hormones to prevent ovulation, so you can't get pregnant. Thus, you added these hormones, for awhile, then suddenly took them away, so your body is needing to readjust.
You may also still experience irregular bleeding for awhile, headache and PMS like symptoms.
If it continues, you should speak to your doctor about the issue.
