I don't know if this was posted before because I didn't see it but I have a question. I'm on sprintec birth control and I got my period yesterday at 1am. I've taken 2 of the white placebo pills. I was wondering if I started taking the blue pills will it stop my period? Tomorrow's my birthday and I feel absolutely terrible due to my period. I've been on this birth control for about 2 months. I'm almost 4 months post partum.

No, once you've started, switching back to the active pills won't stop it. It can sometimes lighten it or shorten it by a day or so, but that's about it.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, breakthrough bleeding and PMS-like symptoms.
Have you spoken to your doctor? If you're feeling that badly, while on your period, you may need to try a different one.
