From what I could gather, Metronidazole is reported to be the active ingredient of Bio-Metronidazole in the following country: South Africa

So Bio-Metronidazole is just another brand name of generic Metronidazole, both used for the purpose of eliminating bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections of the reproductive system, gastrointestinal tract, skin, vagina, and other areas of the body.
