Better Alternatives To Tacromus And Omnacor For Nephrotic Syndrome

My brother (who has been diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome) has been taking tacromus and omnacortil along with some other medicine as prescribed by his super specialist kidney doctor since 2011. However, his condition has been unpredictable. Recently, without informing his doctor we let him stop his medication and gave him our local herbal juice & amazingly his monthly test result showed a better result than it did during his time on medication. In the next appointment/consultation, his doctor lowered the dose of medicine & we still didn't disclose about it... Since one cannot just ignore doctors who are life savers and specialize in the field, my question here is, should we still rely on my brother's doctor advice? Could I have some of your valuable inputs please?

Absolutely! BUT, you have to tell the Doc about alternative meds, both for the Doc's ongoing education, and the potential for interactions, if any.
