R C sharma,
The usual length of time that antibiotics are prescribed for common infections in adults is 7-10 days.
Pheebs,
If you're in serious pain due to your toothache and infection, ideally it would be best that your dentist or doctor make some prescription recommendations for you after a closer evaluation. You can also refer to post #1 for Betamox dosage information.
thandeka,
Sorry to hear about your situation. Because Betamox is an antibiotic, it wont help get rid of the flu (which is often viral and not bacterial). Have you seen a doctor for a second opinion?
Re: David (# 1)
Hi. I have a problem. I used betamox and now I have a flu.
I have a bad tooth infection. It was badly broken off and now I have a severe toothache. Could you tell me the correct dosage for Betamox 500 per day and which pain tablet I may take with it?
Hi all,
I was given betamox 500g which I must take 2 twice a day and metamol which for 1 three times a day for pelvic pain. 3 days after taking them I started to have diarrhea (the first two days i saw mucus in my stools and it stopped) and a feeling of hot discomfort in my perineal region. Is that normal?
I completed my course yesterday and the perineal area is not that hot like before. I still have diarrhea though i go to the toilet like 3 times especially in the morning. Is this normal? Please help. Stressed.
How many days should Betamox 500 mg be taken?
if you don't trust your doctor, the best recommendation would be to get a different doctor.
Hey I would like to know if Betamox Antibiotic is safe for pregnant women. I have discovered that Im pregnant, have infection and my gynacologist recommende Betamox antibiotic for me. Im now taking it. The Dr confirms it safe for my baby...Can u plz confirm this for me
The adult dose of Betamox (amoxicillin) actually depends on what type of infection you're treating, for best results.
In general however, a common dosage is 250 to 500 mg orally 3 times a day for 3 to 7 days; alternatively, 500 to 875 mg orally twice a day may be administered.
I hope this helps to answer your question!
