Betaloc 25 And Atenonlol

I was taking Atenlol 50 mg twice before CAPB surgerry
Now Dr.priscribed Betaloc 25 mg perday
Are the two are different or the same by action in controlling BP?

Betaloc contains the active ingredient Metoprolol and both it and Atenolol are beta blockers that work in the same manner to help control high blood pressure and cardiac conditions.
