Best Laxative(s) To Use When Taking Opiates/opioids

What is the very best laxative I can use when taking narcotic pain relievers? Please be detailed.

I get horrible constipation, when I take them and the only thing I've found that really helps is a fiber supplement. There are many available over the counter, but that might be right for you. It really depends on your overall health, and any other medications you might be taking.

The FDA warns that they can also cause diarrhea, and abdominal cramping.

Has your medical provider suggested anything?
