Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 9)

Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

You're welcome, friend. It's a tough enough road to hoe when you feel like no one- at least those who have the prescriptive power to help - is listening to you, believing or trusting you. I've been there and it's taken a long time and going in circles to find the right md's and pharmacists to work with. Now it seems that *my* beloved, reconnected, long-time psychiatrist is MIA ! I can't reach him anywhere !! Back to the topic, I'm upset at a reply I read a few entries after yours. It does absolutely no one any good when members of our own group, those who are ostensibly supposed to be supportive of our different struggles, are attacking one another. Saying "please don't take this the wrong way" does not absolve one , it actually adds insult to injury. How else is someone to take a direct hit ? I don't care who it's aimed at- it hits all of us if it hits one of us. Where is the moderator, anyway ? That said, I hope you are feeling better (glad your hubby got some clean skivvies lol)

I've taken both adderall and vyvanse and honestly think the vyvanse last longer they have less side effects so I'd def say try the vyvanse

Add two 6 ounce servings of albacore tuna in water to your diet each day and switch to just 1 serving/ day once the hair loss subsides. Eat it plain or mix it with anything you like to make it enjoyable.

I finally met with RN who disagreed with giving me immediate release and dosage VS. Dr. Bennett. Decided to follow his guidelines for now. We had a good talk but she is suspect about allergic reactive to inactive ingredients, bypass etcetera: I was respectful but firm: she says insurance NEVER covers brand name because ..... however, I said if I ask in-house pharmacist, and he "runs" it through insurance and they approve, will she put brand name adderall only: Pharmacist said as long as RN said medically necessary-- brand name; fully covered; no co-pay. They ordered brand: arrives Monday, tomorrow. So, we shall see ... I pray that it works. Be well, Sara.

I have recently been experiencing the sameproblem with the adderall manufactured by Teva. I swear they've changed the ingredients or something!!! I've been taking adderall for several years and I never had a problem with it!! The manufacturer was Barr. Ever since the Teva it just doesn't work. It makes me feel like when I tried Ritalin. Made me feel horrible and couldnt get anything done!! I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one feeling this!! Does Barr still make it??

Yes the Sandoz brand generic I've said here many times is the only best brand and pill that's effective and works consistently!! All of the others are horrible and a joke! I've been taking Adderall for over twenty years!! Thanks! Richard

Hi I've been on adderall IR 30mg for 5 years. The pink sandoz round and the orange football teva I believe work the best or same. Ur body develops tolerance to each one so What I do is switch up my pharmacy every few months, CVS for teva next month Walgreen's for sandoz. There are 2 other generic brands that are absolutely horrible do not take. These brands are actvias and corapharm. Round orange and they shouldn't be in pharamacys. Stick with sandoz and teva. When u switch you will like the pink ones, then go back to teva. But absolutely check to make sure ur pharamacys has only these 2 generics because the other generics are horrible and nasty side affects. I'm in the state of Pennsylvania outside Philly and u got to call around to see what brand they have. It's a common question don't feel Werid asking. I hope this helps.

I use the round pink corepharma brand 30mg instant release. I used to use the Barr/Teva 30mg oval orange for 8 years but they recently changed something and they dont help at all.

The corepharma isn't as strong but it's just enough and I do great on them.

In addition to my first post, I might have gotten the brands mixed. But orange oval\ football and pink round work may have gotten brands switched. Actvias horrible

I've never seen the Sandoz as the manufacturer name on any bottle I've been sold by CVS, Walgreens, Osco nor my local doctotr' office's pharm. I've never seen pink round pills but then again I've been on the same dosages for so long. None of the pharms in MA must carry Sandoz.

Activis is horrible, I don't think there is any active ingredient in them or the fillers counteract whatever active ingrediant is in the pills. CVS only uses Activis, Osco too.

What do you mean, orange football ? in capsule w/spansules in 1/2 clear & 1/2 opaque orange ? The slow release 30 mg? Does the 'pink' pill come in XR ?

I've never even *seen* Sandoz (well, I know quite well who they are, they used to make a populare, now discontinued "recreational" drug when we were in college in the 70's) used as a generic adderall equivalent. I've been on ADDerall since 2003 I think. I was on it before the generic came out. I'm sure I'm totally used to my dosage by now as I'm as ADHD as ever but at 40mgs (30+10) there is no way they are going to increase dosage and i"m ok with that. I'm on Welbutrin too and something new for weight control (1 year, it works) which has helped with the ADHD too. But my body and mind got so used to the adderall it was almost useless - until they stopped prescribing it, omg, it was hell for 2-3 months. It's worse than crap prescriptions, trust me. If you need it to function, you need it, I had forgotten about that part of my old self, tho I think I was more fun back then.

Yes, on Cape and surrounding area's the link round Sandoz are used. At Rite Aid, that's all they give out now around here. I have to go to select pharmacies to get TEVA/BARR, orange tablets.

I have taken generic Adderall IR for 5 years. During that time I have had experiences with:

1. Teva/Barr

2. Corepharma

3, Sandoz

4. Mallinckodt

Teva is by far the most efficacious, in my opinion

I've just been prescribed Adderall for ADD, I was given the 30mg IR sandoz pills and told to break them to 7.5, to start. Fine, but after reading these posts about the different brands and different manufacturers I'm confused, even more if I am prescribed the "right" pills. Simply put, what are the best overall Addie's on the market, regardless of price.

Does anyone know why Barr, Teva doesn't produce the original Adderall formulation that Shire created. (The first, only and original IR formula). Shire still produces the original XR, why is nobody producing IR? It seems to me the big issue for everyone surrounds the mystery of the gererics formulations (binders, fillers , and amphetamines) regardless of who the manufacturer is, including Barr/Teva. Who still owns the rights? Why is it not being produced?
