Benn Taking Oxycodone For Almost 3yrs Now Will Be Trying To Manage This The Rest Of My Life However Cant Seem Find Anywhere That Has It F

Have been managing pain w/ many treatments for almost 3yrs now & haven't ever had a problem filling my Rx's until this month. Cant work, cant spend great time w/ my teenage & busy kids.. Haven't had to withstand this kind of pain for many yrs now.. Was wondering what else is out?! What Meds compare to oxycodone 30mg And work as this med does... I haven't had any problems w/this med. I take it according to Dr& Have had successful management thus far..Now I CAN'T FIND IT& I do not want to drive all day long, since sitting is NOT AN OPTION. Sitting causes the most pain!

No two meds are created equally, but if you're looking to find something with similar effects as oxycodone, it'll likely be another type of synthetic opiate/opioid. Or if you're into natural alternatives, kava root is said to be very helpful in pain management. Although I'm not aware of it's strength or how it compares to various prescription drugs. Might be worth while looking into it though.

Have you ever tried pain patches? I was on Oxy as well for 2 1/2 years and my doc switched me to patches. The pain is much more tolerable. And I don't have to pop pills all day long. I would as the doc about Fentanyal Pain Patches. They work wonder. Good luck and sorry to hear you are in so much pain. I feel you

Please, please, please, think about the duration of the pain patch before you try it. Are you going to be on it short term or for life? I was given the fentenyl patch from my Dr without researching it. I can tell you tapering off them is like living in hell for months. I have never been through anything even comparable to this. They do not stick very well which causes you to go through them even faster but the taper is a withdrawal that lasts for weeks and months. I'm not trying to scare anyone I just want to let people know what I wish to God I had been told. At least find out more about it before you sign your soul away to satan. Don't mean to be dramatic but that's exactly what it feels like. Just saying.

I hope you have found the solution to not being able to find Oxycodone. I do know that there was a supply problem due to a shortage of an ingredient. (This seems to have been in your time frame). I too am on Oxy, and have been for 7 years. I will also be on it for life. I was on Fentynal for 7 years. (brand name Duragesic). Do not go that route if you can avoid it. It is easier for your body to become dependent on it, and hard to wean off of. The withdrawal side effects were a nightmare, creating other health problems. Finally someone in my Dr office put me on Buprenorphine. It stopped all the side effects from fentanyl withdrawal.
It replaces all opioid meds you would be on. You wean off it, but so much easier, with fewer withdrawal side effects.
Make sure you keep all docs informed of your meds, and request liver function check ups to be done yearly. (Oxycodone is excreted through the liver.)
By the way - my pain levels REDUCED when I went off the Fentynal. This is NOT UNUSUAL!! And my maximum daily total of Oxy is 3 5mg tablets a day (15 mg total). Usually only 1-2.

Plz.... I am sooo very sad I am on my 2nd month of missed period & waiting on results to see if I am pregnant..... I hv been in pain Mngmt for 5 yrs take my medication as prescribed which is four 30mg oxycodone suffer terrible pain back/neck & from that now hv arthritis & fiber myalgia my pain is horrible yes the meds do work but u hv to keep takin it then they wanna put u on all this other medication which I refuse to take bein now prob addicted to one medication is bad enough I mean I hv shooting pains in my legs my Hands get numb while in bed I hv no libido at all. my one side of my shoulder always feels like I am carrying a brick due to neck injury now if I am preggers I do not wanna hurt my baby wat do I do :(

Go to quality of life in Tucson...they have hivamat therapy and it has helped me a lot when my back gets all knotted up from my fibro....plus they take insurance. If u need meds call canyon health and ask for ton . They will prescribe oxy. For u...if ur PG it doesn't cause birth defects but ur baby will go through wothdrawl when its born or whenever u do, I had to take it when I was pregnant because I HV really bad arthritis and fibro and RA....he turned out fine and before he was born I decreased my dose with my doctor so my son wouldn't need drugs after he was born.....I was happy to go the last 3 months in pain and couldn't walk.

@ Helpless you probably had your baby by now. i hope you are ok. Please post back and let us know. I was going to say the safest thing that has been used on pregnant women for at least 10 years is methadone. I wouldnt takt suboxone while pregnant No way!!. Your baby is going to go through withdrawl. But i pray all is well. Could you let me knoe what you continued to take while pregnant, because a few ladies have posted about being prego and concerned about their pain med use. Seems you have legitmate pain problems,

Our loving Government who has always ONLY had OUR BEST interests at heart have decreed that oxycodone is too good at what it does. In fact it's NOT just the local PIGS or even the DEA that's butting in. Oh no, this time the High School Drop Outs at the DEA have gotten help. It's not generally known, but this time we have the CDC to fight as well. These petty small minded 18th century non-thinking basterds still want us to believe that PAIN builds CHARACTER! The kind of CHARACTER that goes into a movie and starts shooting. Or goes to there school (you choose the grade, it really doesn't matter any more. Or a body suit with a few household ingredients, covered with glass, nails, rotten body parts and anything else that comes to mind. After all the point is to show these pricks what REAL PAIN and SUFFERING truly is. It's NOT to bring death, oh no no. It's to show others what suffering really is. And it's better to hurt the ones these pricks care about than the pricks themselves. Now I would be the LAST person to advocate violence against anyone, I'm NOT a TRUMP. I marched in both lines during the 60's so I definitely know both sides. BUT FOR GODS SAKE PROTECT US FROM THE NON-HUMANS THAT WANT US TO SUFFER JUST TO LET US BUILD CHARACTER BEFORE WE KILL OURSELVES. The reason they will let this happen?
