Bendectin was given until 1983, and was discontinued due to legal complaints alleging that it caused congenital malformations. It should be noted, however, that later studies showed Bendectin to not cause birth defects, though many are not convinced.
Thalidomide was withdrawn in 1961, so several years earlier than you were born.
Hopefully, the details in these articles may help. If not, please let me know, and I will gladly do more research for you.
I was born in1967 my left foot was severely deformed. There were no bones in the foot just a ball of flesh. There is no muscle from the knee on down. The left side of my body is smaller than the right. I was told by my mother and grandmother that my afflictions were due to a drug mother took while pregnant.im trying to find out what drug caused this.i was told by several doctors that thalidomide is the culprit the timeline is off as i was born in1967. If you have information that can aid me in my quest i would be most grateful.
