Benazepril Made By Teva And Now Amneal
UpdatedAre the TEVA and Amneal benazepril the same? Do they have the same ingredients?

Hello, Betty! How are you?
The active ingredient is the same. When a medication is available for generic production, it is normal for it to be manufactured by several different companies, this was done to help bring generics to market faster, to create competition and try to keep prices down. Whichever one a pharmacy carries, at any given time, may vary, depending on who was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to restock their supply.
The inactive ingredients may be different, though.
The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
Is there anything else I can help with?
