Belviq Plateau

I was on Belviq for 2 weeks and there was a mix up with my prescription. I didn't have any to take for another two weeks. Now that I've gotten my prescription again, it doesn't seem to be working. I have cravings and get hungry unlike before. It seems I have come upon a plateau and I've only lost 5 lbs. do I continue taking it or wait a while and start back?

I would stop taking it for a while, if you are starting to have cravings. I lost 25 pounds while taking Belviq, but then it quit working after about five months. The cravings started to come back. This was last year. I have just recently gotten back on, and it is working again. Side note: My sister is also taking Belviq and she has lost around 40 pounds! :-)

Is it possible that you could've simply received a different manufacturer's version of Belviq after filling your prescription the second time around? I only ask because often times the binders/fillers in different tablets play a role in how well the active ingredient gets metabolized... and the idea that it doesn't work out of the blue just seems kinda odd to me. So that may be something to keep in mind if you haven't already ruled it out as a possibility. Never the less, I do agree with Sheila, in that if it isn't working anymore then maybe your body just needs to cycle off of it for a while longer.

Do you exercise regularly as well?

Please, can someone give me the name of a doctor that will give me a script in NYC? NOT Brooklyn, NY, but NYC Manhattan. I would love to start on Belviq but I need a doctor or an online doctor that will send in a script and work with me.
