Belbuca Vs Methadone Equivalent

My doc took me off 5mg methodone 5 times a day and replaced it with 75 mcg Belbuca twice a day. Then left town with no backup doc. I'm not getting good coverage and its of course the weekend. Anyone know what the Buprenorphine equivalent of 25 mg of methodone is?

I'm sorry that you're in pain.

There aren't really any conversions for going from Methadone to a different opiate. Methadone is also notorious for causing withdrawal and rebound symptoms, if someone stops it abruptly, so that could be what's happening to you.

Have things improved?

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

It may just take a few weeks, for things to settle down, so the Belbuca can start working.

I was on 8 mg subutex x2 daily; doc switched me to. Belbuca 450 and I am not doing to well. He is increasing it to 600 mcg bid. Hope this helps
