Being Under Medicated On Methadone Despite 13 Years Documentation From Ny
UpdatedI have Degenerative disc disease, L5/S1, with right side herniation, osteoarthritis in both hips and spine, a forward curved spine (kyphosis) T5-T7 which causes upper muscle aches in addition to the Lumbar-Sacral pain I had, plus hips,bi-lateral polyneuropathy in legs. So, I had a legitimate need, going to Pain mgmt doctor in NY since 1997 to present. {Been living in NE Pennsylvannia the past 3 yrs. though} Started on 30 mg, after 10 yrs, was on 150mg..However, after screwing up for 3 months in 2011 with the alcohol,in my home, never driving, my wife was on my back so much, I agreed to go to a 5-day alcohol detox, although I wasnt physically addicted. I went into a 5-day detox to make peace with my wife, but stupidly was honest and had them call my Staten Island Pain doc so I can still take my 150mg Methadone pills/day while I was in there. Then all hell broke loose, and she forced me out using certain legal tactics. 355 quest MMPI at HER Neuropsychologist, which I passed, I found out. BUt of course, he still added his negative opinion. The man met me for 5 minutes. The pain docs phy assit told me, there a couple mionth wait if I want to be seen by the doctor, and in the meantime, she wouldnt be able to prescribe me anything. I also think the detox violated the HIPPA laws on me. I may have to see a lawyer. I'm pissed. I didnt deserve this. I took responsibility for drinking even though I didnt break any laws, or contract terms. She received incorrect data.
Since I was compliant with my meds for 13 years, I thought they'd believe me when I told them it's over. I was refused access to my doctor to help her understand. I was seeing one of her 4 physician assistant girls for the past 7 years because I was stable, and now, after such an event, she refused to see me? (Have a lot of resentment and anger at a couple medical people involved in that conspiracy, they wrote untrue, inaccurate, half truths, and ommitted the positive things about me in my permanent medical record which I only found out about after I left her with an exit letter.) Anyhow, I've had an impossible job getting the correct dosages from these Pennsylvania Pain docs. I'm on 60 mg now, . I was on 100mg, 9 years ago!..My pains are all back, but this new doc says, my body will adjust, all kinds of bull. According to my PCP, none of the other pain docs in NE PA even believe in giving pain meds anymore. They all want to do injections. So, I just presented pharmacy records, and letters on my behalf, explaining my conditions, but not good enough. Now I have a 2nd pain doc lying to my face about a "new medical journal" stating 60mg is the max dose of Methadone, etc. I can't confront him, he has all the power. I'm sick of the whole thing man. I want this ball -n-chain off me! But I'm scared of what pain my conditions are gonna give me without narcotics in my system. At least it's bearable now. But still, I don't like the idea of always worrying what this doctor's gonna do or say next. He just sent me for a serum level blood test, and a 12-lead ECG to check for QT Prolongation, which by the way, my PCP read to me that he didnt see any abnormalties.Blood works all good..I'm presently trying to organize all my proof, to have my NY medical records corrected. What a mess. I'm between a rock and a hard place. My Honesty hung me. What do I do now? {edited for privacy}
