Being Punished Because Of Drug Addicts

I am from SC and while there are drug addicts there it did not stop my doctor from giving me the meds I have been taking for years. I move to West Virginia and because of the high amount of drug addicts in this area I am being punished by being either A) the amount being decreased and B) being treated as though I am drug seeking... I feel that something needs to be done. Can I live without Xanax and Ambien??? of coarse I can. Is my life comfortable? not as much as it once was. I don't sleep well and I have had many more panic attacks than I have had in the past 3 years.

I completely understand, however Xanax and Ambien do not mix well and can flag you in certain states as you know. Do you really need the Ambien?

Actually, the mixing of Xanax and Ambien is considered an insignificant interaction. They can increase the effects of each other and increase CNS depression, but it's listed as something that should just be monitored, but not extremely dangerous.

And getting them both via legitimate prescriptions would not get anyone flagged. That's not how that works.

The issue that may have happened here depends on how much of either one the prior doctor was prescribing. There are limits as to how much they can prescribe of them each month, the problem is that up until very recently, these limits weren't being enforced by most doctors and pharmacies.

However, the DEA has recently been cracking down and making pharmacies enforce the limits. Therefore, even if your doctor wrote for more, you wouldn't be able to get it filled for that amount.

For instance, Ambien is considered as being something only used for short-term use and you are supposed to take one a night, so that should only be for 30 tablets a month.

And Xanax is usually given three times a day, so that prescription should only be for 90 a month, if it's the regular release formulation.

Have you tried both though Verwon? Similar to Lunesta these pills don't mix well, although I said nothing about it being dangerous. Sleeping pills are watched very closely with some Insurance companies. BCBS would only pay for 59 days of Lunesta per year. I had read these are flagged in Certain States just like the Opioids when placing your order with Xanax.
