Been Taking 1 Antibiotic Pill Instead Of 2 A Day

I've been taking antibiotics for a UTI for the past week and a half, my doctor said take this antibiotic for a week and you'll be done. It's been a week and a half, and I just realised that the bottle had said take two a day, but I've only been taking one a day. I know this was stupid of me to not read the bottle, but I just want to know if this will compromise my recovery or something. Should I just keep taking them this way until they're gone or should I start taking two a day?

I just realized, I was prescribed Doxycycline po 2 a day but I’ve only been taking it once. My mistake. I only realized because I had so many pills left and it’s been 18 days so I read the bottle...again.
What antibiotic was prescribed? I'm sorry, but I can't answer your question, without knowing this additional information. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you!
The FDA lists most common antibiotic side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
