Bad Medication. Hydro- Round Uo1

I have tmj arthritis in my jaw and my disc has deteriorated over the years . I have taken hydracodone for the pain as it is the only thing that takes away the pain enough to where I can do my exercises to make my muscles work again. It always happens early in the morning beacuse after sleeping on it all night i wake with stiff and a lot of the times lock jaw (very painfull) and use of it through the day makes it not work by early evening. I always get the same script. And never have any problems with it. This months script was different so I called the pharmacy and they said they changed manufacturers and the ingredients were the same. Uh nooooo. From 20 minutes after me taking the first pill I was imediatly sick and the headache I came down with was gruesome. I also vomited for 45 minutes straight and that was just the first time. I also had this taste of soap in my mouth it was discusting. So again I called the pharmacy and they told me to break the pill in half. And also said that I was not the first one to call with those complaints. So that evening I took only a half of a pill. And 20 minutes later I was again vomiting but this time it was 4 times in a row. This lasted about 2 hours. My stomach was very very torn up. And I came down with a fever. So I again called the pharmacy and they said I would have to contact my doctor. Today I have been dealing with sadness almost like depression and horrible confusion. Haven't been able to function or focus.and feel like I have the most gruesome flu I could possibly have. Not to mention that through all of this I got no pain relief whatsoever ever. There is something very wrong with this medication. I have stopped taking it.. but that means dealing with the pain and also feeling like I am dying. Aurolife pharm has severely made a lot of people sick from what I have heard. And it needs to stop. I believe that they have put very little of the active ingredient in this medication or none at all for that matter. And the rest is just binders. I am going into the doctor in the morning to tell her what this medication has caused me to do. And that is the absolute worst 3 days of my life. I'll take the flu anyday over feeling like I am dying and all of the other side effects I have been experiencing. Not to mention the extreme fautigue.. I have to work. I can't be that tired from taking 2 and a half pills in a 3 day period. My normal prescription never effected me or caused side effects.. but these medications by auro are nothing but a death sentence. They need to be reported time and time again. Hopefully my doctor understands and will help me with another script. Since I pay out of pocket. And I will gladly give her back my death pills... beacuse if I keep taking those I'm gonna end up in the hospital mourgue ... I can't be any more serious when I say I thought I was dying. This should not be allowed in the us. They are cutting corners and people with lagitimate problems who needs the medication are getting the shaft.

Sorry to hear about your situation. There are a lot of things going on in the medical community that I feel shouldn't be allowed as well; inferior medication being one of the main things... Not to mention the inability for patients to exchange these placebo meds for ones that actually work. I mean if we as patients have to get a prescription for a particular substance, shouldn't it work better than something that's available over the counter? It's a crying shame... At any rate, I think you're doing the right thing by working with your doctor to see about getting a different manufacturer/brand. If you find one that works best, perhaps the doctor would be willing to specify that manufacturer's name on the prescription itself (for each refill). That way the pharmacist will have to fill it according to the doctor's orders or refer you to another pharmacy that will. I guess it all comes down to the doctor/patient relationship and how compassionate he/she is... I wish you only the very best outcome in all that you do and a pain free experience!
