Bactrim Generic

I was prescribed bactrim or moderate acne and have been on the generic form sulfameth/trimethoprim 800/160 once daily for 5-6 weeks and have seen little to no results. Anyone know time line for this stuff to start working? I've been on keflax, ampicillin with success but I recall those working faster. No side effects but no success either, any advice??

From what I've found when researching this, results should start to be seen at about 6 weeks of use.

If you haven't seen any results yet, then it just may not be the right antibiotic to help you.

Have you ever tried Doxycycline?

I'd suggest asking your doctor about it, if you haven't. Many people use it very successfully for acne.

Well my 15yr old daugher got prescribed that exact same but twice a day n her acne is much better in only 2 weeks that she has been on it.
