Pardon my ignorance. I'm a complete novice here. Simple question. Can anyone compare these two medicines. I won't begin to try and spell the chemical names, but the numbers are tv 4096 and ep 136. The descriptions are similar. Neither is subject to controlled substance act. Which is 'stronger' ... is either more appropriate for night time ... is either more appropriate for daytime activity (work)... is either specifically 'better/worse' for any particular condition ... and do either have some particular interaction with another drug to make note of???? I am currently using a cream prescribed by my foot doctor, Ketamine10% Flurbiprofen10% Baclofen4% Verapamil7% Tetracaine2%. I had to have the lab adjust the formular with my doctors approval, to it current percentage as the original formular was useless. It works a bit better, but I feel it could use some more tweeking. Any suggestions? Also I recently injured my knee and have been using it on that as well. However, I have heard of some using it to withdraw from opiates and benzodiazepines (like xanax) with some success. I believe the reason why it may help, is because it is an anxiolytic which help to decrease anxiety. I know anxiety is one of the main issues people suffer from when going through withdrawal. Something to keep in mind however, is that the discontinuation of Baclofen can be associated with a withdrawal syndrome that resembles benzodiazepine withdrawal and alcohol withdrawal. I just got a prescription for a "new" pain relieving cream from my Pain Management Center. cream with baclofen 2% bupivacine 1% cyclobenzaprine 2% diclofenac 5%. It does not have a "Name" - What is it? are there side effects with topical use? ## This is something specially ordered by your doctor that needs to be made by a compounding pharmacy, so there is no name for it. Your doctor chooses the ingredients for the cream according to what they think will help you. Is soma 350mg equal to baclofen 10 mg? I am out of soma want to sub baclofen I have. I have severe pain from nerve sheeth tumor pressing on my sciatic nerve. are there any new findings on spacticity? I currently take baclofen orally. i know about medtronics system that requires surgery. i am watching closely to see if they have come up with a newer version, potentially with the unit feeding outside, indtead of internally. i have tried a number of meds with no relief. ## Hi richard, I haven't found any information regarding new treatments for spasticity, I did however come across some information stating that acupuncture may be a successful form of treatment. I have MS and had taken soma for years but it seemed to stop working so good with my spasticity. My doctor said to try the baclofen which is working fine. I had a urine drug test and his nurse said there was soma traces in my urine. I haven't had soma in 3 yrs how could it have shown up? Now my dr thinks Im taking both muscle relaxers and I AM NOT!!!!! I was beginning to think they gave me the wrong pills again because spasms are worse than what they usually are with the others they used to give me ## I think the reason that some people have had trouble identifying this one is due to the fact that it's very easy to misread the markings on the pills. It's actually meant to be N 030 and the actual dosage is 20mgs of the Baclofen. As a muscle relaxant, its side effects may include nausea, dizziness and drowsiness. And Ty, what did you end up doing?
