Is it ok to take one bachrim ds daily to prevent UTI? I have been doing this as prescribed by my urologist due to bladder not emptying totally after urination which caused series UTI.
My urologist said I could control UTI from today on out taking one bachrim daily. I have been doing this for two years with good results however my stomach is constantly upset. What are alternative treatments that work?

Yes, it is sometimes used to prevent UTIs. The FDA does warn that its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
Have you tried making sure to taking it with food, or a snack and not on an empty stomach?
